Aged Care Provider Case Study

Options analysis and operational viability modelling

Following the acquisition of an adjacent block of land, this regional aged care provider sought advice on options for expanding their facility. A market study confirmed sufficient demand for an extension doubling their current bed capacity while a land use analysis showed that there were several options to configure the new accommodation around alternative models of care. There was also sufficient space to establish an onsite kitchen to reduce operating costs and improve food quality for residents.

Detailed financial modelling of each accommodation option allowed the Board to consider potential revenue and expenditure implications against service and care objectives before commencing detailed planning of a new facility.
